Mehendi is a traditional body art. It is mainly applied to enhance the beauty of a person. Even though it can beapplied on arms, wrists, biceps, legs & other parts of the body .Now mehendi is applied with help of cone made up of plastic sheet,which are as similar as cake decorating tubes .Readymade cones of mehendi(heena) are available in market.Mehendi is also applies with the help of tooth pick or needle but creativie designer use cones to apply good designs.Brides apply mehendi on there wedding ,they apply heena /mehendi on ther efeets n arms .Mehendi is applied on mehendi raat ceremony.
1)Make a smooth henna paste by sifting the dry mehndi / henna powder to remove any debris and adding to it a hot mixture of tea or coffee and mustard oil until it has a mud-like firmness.
2)After the paste is ready take a plastic cone with a very fine key-hole at the end. Pour the paste into the cone and tie the broader end with a rubber band.
3)Hold the cone in the right hand and gently squeeze the paste on the palm and start making patterns.
4)Keep the palm horizontal and let the patterned-paste rest on it till dry.
5)Warm it near the fire and leave it on for as long as it takes to get the stains deeper.
6)When it is almost dry, dab a piece of cotton in sugar and lemon solution and apply lightly on the designs so it further darkens to a reddish-brown hue that can last for weeks.
7)After 2-4 hours wash off the hands with plain water.
Mehendi cermony is wedding event in India ,Its is held before marriage event which take place in booth bride and groom place .In india mehendi ceremony is commonly know as mehendi ki raat .Mehendi is applied on hands and feet of the bride in very ancient or exclusive design .Indian wedding is incomplete with out mehendi ki raat . 5) For good henna color bride can take smoke of log.
6) Always apply lemon and sugar mixture on the mehendi so that henna stay over your hand.
7) For good color you can also apply mustard oil after you remove henna.
Don’t remove henna with water .Try to remove by rubbing hands or with knife.
9) Never was your hand on day you apply henna (maximum 4 hours).
10) Bride should wear clothes which are comfortable as henna is applied hands and feet too.these clothes are given to some servant as a traditional rites.
